  • We have stayed here seven times over the course of the last eight years. This is a very well positioned apartment which is huge by the standards of Scilly. There are two good-sized bedrooms (one double, one twin); an enormous lounge with big TV and two very comfy sofas; a dining room (I wrote large chunks of my PhD in there over the years); a good strong shower; and a well-provided kitchen. The Bishop and Wolf is about 20 yards away, as is Portcressa Beach. The chippy is next door (accessed round the corner - no smell of chips). It's a three minute walk to the Co-op and Scillonian Club and five minutes to the Mermaid and the harbour to get the boats to the off-islands. We love staying here, and have always found the flat and the owners to be everything we could hope for. We've already booked for next year - and hopefully will be returning for many years to come.

  • Nice & spacious. Very well equipped kitchen - I've never stayed anywhere with such good cooking facilities & all the utensils you could imagine. Ice block in freezer was a good idea. Great size TV- especially with Olympics on. Nice surprise to have beds made up on arrival. We really appreciated being able to come straight into the flat even though we arrived early, thank you.
